Prashant has been associated with the mortgage industry for more than two decades. He began his career in the mortgage division of Kidder, Peabody & Co. followed by multiple roles at Freddie Mac, including working in the “Office of the President”. These experiences gave Prashant deep insights into the inefficiencies plaguing the financial services and mortgage industries. Armed with this knowledge and experience, he founded String in 2004 with the singular objective of making the American real estate industry more efficient. Prashant provides the overall direction and strategic inputs, which ultimately helps Title and Mortgage companies cut costs and time in title production and loan processing.

Prashant is a regular speaker at various mortgage forums including the Mortgage Bankers Association, American Land Title Association, Real Estate Services Providers Council, National Settlement Services Summit, National Press Club and other international, regional and state outsourcing and mortgage forums. He is a graduate of Loyola College in Chennai, India and received his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prashant is a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), TiE, Mindshare and an alumnus of the Entrepreneurial Master’s Program led by EO and MIT. Prior to 2002 Prashant started or co-founded three other companies.
